Townsville Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA)

Townsville Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA) is a performing arts studio offering dance classes for students from age two. TAPA offers a diverse range of dance styles, including classical ballet, tap, modern/jazz, contemporary, hip hop, Irish, acro dance, and song and dance (from 3 years).

They provide quality training from experienced, qualified teachers who aim to inspire a love of dance and the arts. The classes encourage students to have fun, be creative, all while nurturing and respecting the uniqueness of each student and assisting them to reach their own personal potential. Ready Steady Go kids 

Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia’s leading award-winning multi-sport program for children aged 1.5 – 6 years.  Their physio-designed program teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports:  soccer, tennis, hockey, AFL, cricket, athletics, basketball, golf, rugby and T-Ball.  Classes are run indoors by highly qualified coaches with a range of benefits crucial to early childhood development! Programs run in line with the school terms.

Get Active Townsville

Get Active & Healthy! The Townsville City Council promotes a myriad of clubs and classes across the region to help you get active and healthy. From Basketball, to swimming, to outdoor gym or yoga classes, their website offers plenty of options for the family to consider.

Full Throttle Theatre Company

For ages 5 -18 years, the youth program runs for six weeks, four times a year. Check out their website for more details.

Scouts Queensland

Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of outdoor activities, from ‘traditional scouting skills’ such as camping and bushcraft, through to more extreme challenges such as abseiling, overnight hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, rock climbing, sailing… even flying!


Love2Swim School

Love2Swim School are leading the market with their Learn to Swim Program and provide experienced teachers. The babies program has been developed over 20 years and is a great foundation for building champion swimmers. The school is objective based and a certificate is awarded after each level is accomplished. The school is divided into 3 levels for babies, 3 levels for pre-schoolers and 5 levels for school age. From there, swimmers go into their mini squad program and are able to compete if they wish.

Paul Sadler Swimland

Since their beginning in 1972, they have spent years refining and developing their unique program, and have had thousands of swimmers experience the Paul Sadler Swimland way of learning. They believe that it’s the small successes that provide the proudest moments for swimmers and families. With a strong focus on deep water survival, the structured, certificate-based design of their program teaches swimmers the required skills from the beginner stage, right through to competitive swimming. Regardless of where your child enters their program, their goal for all swimmers is to leave with a Swimland Diploma.

Rugbytots has been designed to develop a child’s physical, psychological, and social attributes, as well as gently encourage rugby specific skills such as running with the ball, finding space, kicking, catching, scoring and much more. All Rugbytots lead coaches are certified first aiders, ARU qualified rugby coaches, hold blue cards, and are trained to a very high standard.
